Project Manager

The Project Manager is the primary point of contact and liaison between the Strategic Mapping project team and the customer, managing the day-to-day management of the multiple software implementations. The focus of this role will be managing implementations of the Strategic Mapping products. The ideal candidate can be located remotely or in one of our offices and must be willing to travel.

• Provide all project management services for the implementation, including project planning, resource planning & management, securing of support needed from other RP departments, project budgeting and business consulting.
• Guide customer in risk management and mitigation for entire implementation plan.
• Manage, lead and mentor members of the project team, including various levels of software engineers.

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years experience leading software.
• Minimum of 3 -5 years exposure to 3GL and 4GL programming languages, relational databases, web tools, client server graphical user interface (GUI), PL/SQL, and Windows 2000/XP.
• Previous management experience with the ability to mentor/coach technical and consulting staff.
• Ability to conduct formal and informal presentations in both small- and large-group settings.
• Excellent problem solving and negotiation skills, anticipating and solving issues before they occur or become critical.
• Ability to establish and grow strong relationships with customer's project team and sponsors.
• Strong written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills, especially conveying complex information in an understandable manner.
• Ability to travel up to 40-75% of the time, annually.
